Note that the streaming service PlayStation Now currently allows players to play games from the PlayStation 3 and older on the PlayStation 4 on a subscription or a rental basis, DailyStar UK reported.
PlayStation Now has been likened to how Spotify and Netflix works. Note that PSN subscribers pay £12.99 a month. This is believed to be Sony's answer to the lack of backwards compatibility on the PlayStation 4. Moreover, Sony confirmed that starting Mar. 15, several devices including the PS3, PS Vita and all Samsung TV models will stop accepting sign up for the PlayStation Now service.
