George RR Martin Updates: ‘Game of Thrones’ New Story; ‘The Sons Of Dragon’ This October

George RR Martin the brain behind the world's watched series HBO's "Game of Thrones," has recently revealed the information's and additional details of a new short story set in the land of Westeros, it features the Targaryen family bloodline history.

The story "The Sons of Dragon" will be included in the fantasy anthology titled "The Book of Swords" by George RR Martin this coming October. Game of Thrones author George RR Martin has revealed details of a new short story set in his Westeros universe, focused on the bloody and incestuous Targaryen family history. Narrating the regime of the second and third Targaryen kings such as, Aenys I and Maegor the Cruel; the story will also discuss what happened to the people surrounding them during their time in the throne, including their families, friends and, enemies.

Magical yet cruel land of Westeros will be the setting of the story, both King Aenys I and King Maegor the Cruel reigned for more than 250 years long before the main storyline of "Game of Thrones". But the power of their bloodline went down and forgotten, that the time that the descendant Daenerys wants to reclaim the throne.

According to the reports of The Guardian, "Game of Thrones" reference book "The Song of Ice and Fire" was written in the voice of the historian Yandel. Yandel described Aenys I as King of Dreams, the king was also an alchemist and womanizer. He was known as a doubtful and fragile ruler, Aenys I was kicked out from the throne due to the disgust of having him married his son to his own daughter. After his term as a king, his brother sits the thrones, Maegor which was recognized and can't be forgotten of his cruelness, anyone who questions his plans as the ruler at his time will be tortured, executed, killed and fed to the dragons.

The upcoming "The Book of Swords" anthology including "The Sons of Dragon" will be edited by George RR Martin's friend, Gardner Dozois who also edited eight anthologies of "Game of Thrones" storylines. "The Book of Swords" will be edited byGardner alone because George RR Martin is now focused on finalizing the sixth book installment of "The Song of Ice and Fire" and also "The Winds of Winter."

"The Book of Swords" would be a history, not a traditional narrative that tells the politics of Westeros' ancient times, as reported by White Book Podcast. Various authors were also featured in the anthology such as Ken Liu, Garth Nix, Robin Hobb and Scott Lynch. It will be published this coming Oct. 10, 2017.
