‘Pacific Rim: Uprising’ Spoilers & Update: The Movie Recruited John Boyega and Scott Eastwood

"Pacific Rim: Uprising" is now busy filming for its release next year. The sequel movie has added some new faces to the cast lineup, including Scott Eastwood of "Suicide Squad" and John Boyega of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

Recently, an image was released by Scott Eastwood fan page in an Instagram account which shows that Scott was all suited up in a Jaeger pilot in "Pacific Rim: Uprising." There are no official information about Scott Eastwood's character in the movie but fans will surely be more excited if he will maneuver one of the Jaegers.

"Pacific Rim: Uprising" also recruited "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" star John Boyega. In the photo, John Boyega was also seen wearing the signature Jaeger pilot suit that was used by previous "Pacific Rim" stars Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Hunnan, and Idris Elba. John Boyega will play as the son of Idris Elba's character who died after his heroic sacrifice in the first "Pacific Rim," Stacker Pentecost. The actor might end up controlling the Jaeger as the legacy of his father continues.

As reported by Slash Film, Legendary Pictures has recruited a lot of talented Asian actors such as Wesley Wong, Lily Ji, Zhang Jin, Xiao Yang, Qian Yongchen, Lan Yingying and Chen Zitong. The production needed these Asian actors because the first installment was a big hit in China. "Pacific Rim: Uprising" details are not yet clear but social media teasers spread all over makes the fans put their feet with excitement. Predictions by Movie Web stated that the destructive alien creature from the first movie "Pacific Rim" will find their way to the Earth, and a catastrophe might happen. Earth will need Jaegers to fight against these destructive aliens.

The first installment of "Pacific Rim" was directed by Guillermo Del Toro but he won't be helming the next installment. Daredevil director Steven S. DeKnight was assigned to direct "Pacific Rim 2." The movie will hit theaters this Feb. 23, 2018.
