‘Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie’ Spoiler & Update: Reveals a New Kind of Hero Along With the Movie Release Date; Starred by Ed Helms

Last December 2016, Dreamworks Animation has revealed the long awaited animated movie of "Captain Underpants." Celebrating the Captain Underpants book series' 20^th anniversary, the animated movie will hit big screens this June 2.

The upcoming animated movie was entitled "Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie," yet no trailers have been released so far but the good thing is Dreamworks Animation recently gave the first look; a poster which shows the hero's own version of his Bat-Signal, as claimed by the reports of Movie Web. Captain Underpants' iconic logo is its trademark; a tight white underpants.

 "Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie," the first movie that was based on the popular book series written by Dav Pilkey which has 12 sequel books. The book series has 20 languages translation with more than 70 million books sold worldwide, 50 million in the U.S alone.

According to Inverse, the story "Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie" revolves around a two fourth grade best friends who loves to draw comics and sell it to the playgrounds. Their comics became a real Captain Underpants hero when the kids attempted to hypnotize their school principal.

Along with the casts of "Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie," Ed Helms will play as Principal Krupp, the guy who turns into Captain Underpants every time he hears fingers snapping. Both Kevin Hart and Thomas Middleditch's voices will be used for Harold and George, teenager comic book creators who turn their principal into a hero. Nick Kroll was also included as he dubbed Professor Poopypants along with Jordan Peele as Melvin, a character in the movie that turns into a Bionic Booger Boy and Kristen Schaal as Edith.

"Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie" will be directed "Goosebumps" Rob Letterman, screen played by "Neighbours" Nick Stoller. Mark Swift and Mireille Soria both from "Penguins of Madagascar" will be the movie's producers along with the executive producer Deborah Forte.
