‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2’ Spoilers & Update: How the New Character Mantis Came Into the Movie

Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" will bring us into an open space of galaxies and airwaves. The first installment of Guardians of the Galaxy was last 2014, Marvel brought Star-Lord Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax, Groot and Rocket Racoon.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" director James Gunn was comfortable in adding new mystic characters in the movie; he knows that people will welcome these new characters until it reaches this May for its release date. From Star-Lord Peter Quill who was played by Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista as Drax, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Rocket Racoon and Groot there are newcomers; of this character debutant is Mantis.

Mantis was first seen in the Marvel comics from 1973. She was a half German and half-Vietnamese woman with a blood of an alien race known as Kree. But the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" director James Gunn made changes to the story; he puts a little exciting twist. As reported by Cinema Blend, Marvel President Kevin Feige stated that James Gunn did something very spectacular with the character Mantis.

Kevin Feige added that Mantis is a character in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" who has never encountered a normal person or other humans before. She made fun of Drax in the movie, where Drax will look like the most cunning person; Drax spend a lot of time together in the movie.

Mantis, played by Pom Klementieff in the upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," came from Ego the Living Planet. She can tell what others feel by only touching them, according to Den of the Geek. That's one of her abilities, also she can change the way they feel their emotions. She has a different fighting style that makes her unique in the movie. "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" was scheduled to hit big screens this coming May 5, 2017. We can learn so much more about the newcomer Mantis and her role in the upcoming movie.
