Boy George Shares Great Admiration For Rival George Michael

George Michael died on Christmas Day at the age of 53 and his funeral was getting delayed as the investigation continues for the cause of his death. However, Boy George shared about his friend trying to keep people out until the final years of his life.

According to Mirror, Boy George said that he had an on-and-off contact with Michael before the star found dead at his home. He also added in his interview that he was never been aware of the songwriter's life since he was a secretive and quite private man.

The "New Celebrity Apprentice" also shared on "Watch What Happens Live" that George was his rival during the 1980s but become pal since he appreciated the talent of his deceased friend. Meanwhile, Boy George was asked about the previous rumored of getting troubled with the "Faith" singer but never come out because of Michael decision.

The 55-year-old singer defended himself and said in a statement that they don't really get a serious trouble but it was only a competition, as reported by MSN. Boy George posted on his Twitter account about his great appreciation of George works and shared his condolences on the star supporters.

Boy George was the lead singer of the Grammy and Brit-Award-winning pop band Culture Club and was part of the English New Romantic movement that emerged in the 1970s to 1980s. His songs were also categorized as "Blue-eyed soul" that is composed of rhythm and blues and reggae.

George Michael's family, friend, and fans give tribute to the star who passed away while Andros Georgiou was hesitant to his cousin's cause of death who only read the news online. Meanwhile, the deceased star publicists previously claimed that his death doesn't have any suspicious circumstances and said it was only a heart failure.
