Artgenève Salon d’Art Sneak Peek: What to See At Its Sixth Edition

Artgenève returns for its sixth edition in 2017 from January 26 to 29 at Palexpo Geneva. This year features a lineup of 85 galleries from 16 countries showcasing the work of more than 800 creative artists.

According to Pal Expo, highlights of the artgenève 2017 program include the 2017 edition of The Estate Show, featuring a monumental 2000 square meter light installation of Anthony McCall's "Vertical Works," this year's The Living Room section which consists of a group show curated by Samuel Gross and titled "The Ball Room."

Galleries participating in the 2017 edition of artgenève include the likes of Gagosian (New York, Beverly Hills, London, Rome, Athens, Paris, Geneva, Hong Kong), Franco Noero (Turin) and De Jonckheere (Geneva, Paris, Brussels.) Other participating galleries are Lelong (Paris), Continua (San Gimignano, Beijing, Les Moulins, Havana), Mai 36 (Zurich), Blondeau & Cie (Geneva) and Blain|Southern (London, Berlin). It also includes Galería Juana de Aizpuru (Madrid) and, Christine König (Vienna), to name a few.

Exhibitions by the Fondation Beyeler, who is currently in celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Institute of Contemporary Arts (London) and the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo (Turin). They will also showcase exhibitions from the Istituto Svizzero di Roma, Fri Art Kunsthalle Fribourg, and the Musée Ariana (Geneva), in addition to Marco, the Centre d'Art Contemporain, the Centre d'édition Contemporaine. To complete the list of exhibitions is the Centre de la Photographie from Geneva, which represents the institutional landscape says Le Temps.

The artgenève/sculptures outdoor sculpture exhibition returns for its third year and fourth edition in 2017 with 10 new works exhibited along the lakeside, on the Quai Wilson. The 2017 edition of artgenève/sculptures includes the magnificent works of Lilian Bourgeat, Rui Chafes, Claude Closky, Christian Gonzenbach, Jeppe Hein, Séverine Hubard, Galerie Laurence Bernard, Alain Huck, Jean-Louis Perrot, and Marc Quinn.
