'Avengers: Infinity War' update, spoilers: Groot vs. Hulk happening in 'Infinity War', new logo teased in latest set photo
"Avengers: Infinity War" is slated to be the biggest feature film yet from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), putting together every known superhero on Earth and the far-away cosmos to fight a powerful supervillain. While the fans expect to witness the biggest tag team in movie history for taking down a common enemy, the heroes might also cause a ruckus among themselves.
"Avengers: Infinity War" is expected to mark the first meeting of the Earth-bound Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy. The two groups have to unite in order to stop the Mad Titan Thanos (Josh Brolin) from taking hold of all six Infinity Stones, which will give him unimaginable power.
In an interview with Screen Rant, Vin Diesel spilled a few details regarding the much-awaited collaboration of the two Marvel hero squads. The "xXx: Return of Xander Cage" actor is expected to reprise his role as the sentient tree character, Groot, in this summer's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2." Although, the upcoming developments in the MCU will bring Groot, along with the rest of the Guardians, to 2018's "Avengers: Infinity War." At this point, Diesel said that Groot might be involved in a tussle with the Avenger's resident green monster, Hulk/Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo).
The fans are also curious if the Avengers and the Guardians' first meet-up will turn out well, especially with the likes of Hulk and Groot who easily get into brawls. As per Diesel, he believes that the fight between these two interesting characters is inevitable.
"I think there's gonna be a moment that we're all waiting for, and whether you know it or not, you are waiting to see Groot and the Hulk get down," the actor teased. Nonetheless, the "Avengers: Infinity War" will see more interaction among the MCU's known heroes and villains, where up to 67 characters are set to appear.
Starting work on a new project. It's secret, though. I can't say what it is. #amidoingthisright
