'Sharknado' On Its Fifth Installment; Ian Ziering And Family Will Put An End To The 'Sharknados'; Anthony Ferrante To Direct The Film Again
After 4 consecutive series to the film franchise, "Sharknado" is set to release its 5th addition this coming 2017 to theaters. "Sharknado" is a film about a shark ravaging and creating havoc to its location by killing, dragging, and hunting people that get in his way. While it was stopped on the recent films, it keeps on coming back by giving birth to another shark. The NBC Universal Cable Entertainment network approved the film's production last Thursday, February 2. 2017 according to Hollywood Reporter.
The film is currently in its pre-production state according to IMDb. The synopsis stated that there will be a global sharknado invasion that will happen. Fin Shepard (Ian Ziering) and his family are set to stop the chaos and put an end to the "Sharknados" for good. The title for this installment is "Sharknado 5... Earth 0". Some rumors and speculations state that this might be the last Sharknado movie due to a line on the synopsis saying "his family must put a stop to the sharknados once and for all". Anthony C. Ferrante will be the one directing again, the first 4 installment was his work as well. For the scripts, Scotty Mullen was appointed to write it.
Ian Ziering, the main protagonist of the movie, was a famous actor known for landing spots in the national commercials at the young age of 12 according to TMZ. He had been on "Sharknado" films for the past 4 installments. He is surely a fan favorite and a staple character in the movie.
"Sharknado" is indeed a sci-fi movie that became a social media and worldwide phenomenon since 2013. It started as a low budget film at first, after it garnered popularity, a theatrical release was granted to them and the story goes on up to date. The film always delivers its plot and make the moviegoer's time worthwhile.
