'Red Dead Redemption 2' News Update: What We Know So Far
In October 2016, Rockstar unveiled the successor of their best game the Red Dead Redemption, the Red Dead Redemption 2. The Red Dead Redemption 2 will be launching this year, so fans must prepare their cowboy boots and hats to head back to the Old West.
According to Games Radar, the release date of the Red Dead Redemption 2 is set for Fall 2017, with Xbox One and PS4 as currently listed formats. The fans are hoping that they will see the Rockstar's latest open-world Western by October/November 2017 at the latest even though the developer has a reasonable record of making good in their promised released dates.
Rockstar may introduce seven playable characters as the trailer and promo art depicts. Giving the impression that Rockstar seems to be prepping the fans that the Red Dead Redemption 2 will center on an entire posse of outlaws.
There is also a leaked map for the Red Dead Redemption 2, looking closer the map reveals Great Plains and multiple Caravan camps. Apparently, the map displayed more water as it shows several islands, rivers and large expanses of water confirming boat travels.
Also, this suggests that the timeline for the game is before Marston's adventure, the time when American Frontier was still being discovered by European settlers. According to What Culture, the rumored timeline for the game is 1889, the Blackwater Massacre.
The massacre is about the confrontations between lawmen and the lawbreakers that resulted to 30+ casualties perhaps the cause of Bonnie MacFarlane's brother and many others demise. Curiously, the Blackwater Massacre has been brought up many times in Redemption with Marston recalling that he knew the Landon Ricketts name because of the event.
The rumors claimed that the fans shall see the 26 years old John Marston and he could be on the opposite side of the struggle.
