Thomas Rhett , Lauren Akins Announced Their Baby’s Gender!

After Thomas Rhett and his wife, Lauren Akins announced that they are adopting a baby and expecting their first child. Instead of announcing the gender of the child in a normal way, the couple got creative with their announcement.

 According to Daily Mail, the couple announced the gender of the child with a special cake. On Rhett's Instagram account he shared a video of him surrounded by his friends and family while cutting a cake.

The multicolored cake with decoration after Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, apparently would show blue internals if it was a boy and pink for a girl. After revealing the color of the cake, Rhett shouted that he's having a baby girl.

Before the video was posted Lauren posted a photo of the cake with a captioning a lyric of the song Twinkle, Twinkle, Little star. According to People, months earlier, the couple decided to stop trying to have a baby on their own and start the process of adopting a baby from Africa.

The couple is having their week-long vacation when Lauren started feeling sick. Of course, she dismissed it as food poisoning but then decided to get a pregnancy test, the result is positive.

Rhett announced the news on his Twitter account, saying that they are expecting two babies one is from adoption and other as their biological child. Rhett posted a photo showing him and his wife holding golden balloons that spelled baby.

Rhett feels like they're going to have twins, the couple is feeling blessed and admitted that the news is the sweetest surprise they could imagine. Rhett and Akins are hoping that the adoption process will be finalized before their biological baby arrives in early August, giving them time to bond with the baby.
