Samsung Galaxy S8 is now speculated to have a bigger brother in the form of the Galaxy S8+.  A massive 6.2-inch display screen is expected to come along.

Evan Blass, the famous tipster, recently shared on Twitter the Samsung Galaxy S8+ logo.  This not only gave rise to the rumors of the bigger model, but also to the speculations that the South Korean electronics company is now trying to ditch its "edge" branding and shifting to a similar model scheme employed by Apple, CNET reports.

Both the Samsung smartphones are expected to have AMOLED curved display screen, with the standard one having a 5.8-inch size, a 3,000 mAh battery and a 3,500 for the bigger variant.  Under the hood, both Galaxy S8 models are rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, paired with 4 GB of RAM, and could arrive with 64 GB, 128 GB or even up to 256 GB of internal storage.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are also anticipated to contain a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and an iris scanner similar to the Galaxy Note 7.  A new voice assistant called Bixby is also expected from the upcoming devices.

Both devices are also rumored to feature an Always On technology and a pressure sensitive display screen that is similar to Apple's 3D Touch.  It is also possible to have a 4K resolution, although technology experts suggest that this may only happen to next year's model, according to the Telegraph.

Previously leaked images suggest that the upcoming smartphones will still contain the 3.5 mm headphone jack as opposed to the USB-C audio port, but would lack a physical home button.  There is also a possibility that it will have an IP68 water and dust resistance certification, just like the previous models.

Samsung Galaxy S8+, according to rumors, will be $100 more expensive than the standard Galaxy S8 and is expected to be launched on March 29, with a U.S. release on April 21.  It was previously confirmed by the company that the next flagship phone will not debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2017).
