'Pokemon GO' Valentine's Day Event: More Buddy Rewards For Trainers, Buddies Love Celebration

By BLindon on Feb 10, 2017 01:00 AM EST

The "Pokemon GO" developers previously rolled out with Spooky Pokemon in their Halloween Event. This time, Lovely Pokemon and romantic storyline may be revealed for Valentine's Day along with cheaper incense and increased buddy rewards. On the other hand, Niantic may need to acquire a permit to use the Milwaukee county parks for their game.

"Pokemon GO" players may get more buddy rewards to celebrate the love between the trainers and their buddies, though non-romantic. Previously, double and quadruple buddy rewards have been successful giving incentives to "Pokemon GO" players for walking miles. Moreover, the Halloween event was also noted to give off increased buddy rewards.

Moreover, with Valentine's Day coming soon, the "Pokemon GO" developers are expected to roll out with romantic stories and lovely Pokemon such as the pink Chancey. In addition, the event may offer increased spawn rates for certain types of Pokemon. Additionally, "Pokemon GO" players may take advantage of cheaper intense or longer lasting and more effective ones.

Dedicated players are expected to invest in these items with a temporary discount, Forbes reported. It should be noted that other mobile games usually kick off big events with discounts on premium or similar items. Moreover, the pink cloud of the incense may add a touch to the Valentine's event.

In other news, the Milwaukee county board recently passed an ordinance requiring Niantic to get a permit to use the park locations in the "Pokemon GO" location-based monster-catching simulator. Apparently, "Pokemon GO" players allegedly caused thousands of dollars in damage to its area parks. The Milwaukee board is said to be putting the responsibility on Niantic for creating the game, Venture Beat reported.

The "Pokemon GO" developers, however may ignore this ordinance as the Milwaukee board is said to violate the developer's First Amendment right to free expression. Niantic may choose to overturn the ordinance by filing a lawsuit. Apparently, "Pokemon GO" may not use the parks if the ordinance is followed.
