Cornwall Public Library To Host Art Exhibit Of Oil Paintings By Ray Schuettich

As reported by Record Online, the public library at 395 Hudson Street in Cornwall will be showcasing the oil painting masterpiece of Schuettich. The artist, a proud talent of Pine Bush, will be opening the art show titled "A Ray of Sunshine" on Feb. 11 at 1 p.m. According to the latest details, the art show will take place at the Cornwall Public Library's community space.

Schuettich has made a name in the world of arts in more than a decade, being a member of the Middletown Art Group for many years. He formally studied the arts at the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts in New Jersey. He further honed his skills at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

For more than 30 years, Schuettich has been involved in the advertising industry as a commercial artist, being hired by several clients for his expertise. He was also an art director and studio manager for different companies across the city of Manhattan. Then after, he decided to retire and moved to Pine Bush, living quietly with his wife in their wonderful abode in New York. Nevertheless, painting has always been his source of enjoyment even after retirement.

What is unique with Schuettich's current artworks is that he prefers to paint with water-soluble pigments. Before, he created his oil paintings using the traditional oil pigments. In the previous Orange County Senior Games, Schuettich won the "Best in Show" award for his remarkable oil paintings.
