'The Vampire Diaries' Season 8: Nina Dobrev Returns In Episode 16 As Elena, Possibly Ends Up With Stefan

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 finale airs in March, and a number of things are likely to happen in the show. Among these is the recent announcement of Nina Dobrev's return in episode 16 as  Elena Gilbert

Several theories about the finale of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 suggest how the show could end. Among these reveal that Elena will unlikely end up with Damon Salvatore despite her return.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 spoilers also claim that Elena may return to the Mystic Falls, although she could also end up with Stefan. It should be noted that Stefan and Elena were initially paired in the show, yet Elena chose to be with Damon when she got to know him.

Meanwhile, the fans of Stefan-Caroline team-up need not worry since both are still believed to get married. But, given the potential of Stefan turning into a human being, things are expected to change significantly for the two. Also, reports suggest that Caroline will initiate the break-up with Stefan, Deadline reported.

"The Vampire Diaries"  cast and crew reportedly shared some never-before-seen photos while filming the last episode. One of these is the photo shared by showrunner Julie Plec, which shows the "last first take". Aside from that, Candice Accola is also seen sharing some love with Julie in a photo uploaded as Caroline wraps the last shots of the Forbes house.

Another "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 final shot on a specific set was also released. According to reports, the photo shows the bedroom of Damon, which is also finished with shooting, as the entire crew celebrates and bids goodbye, Wet Paint reported.
