Ben Affleck Now A Former Director Of An Upcoming Movie of DC Titled 'The Batman'
Just a day before January ends, an intriguing headline was announced. Ben Affleck will no longer direct his solo "The Batman" movie.
According to USA Today, He had announced this news last Monday night. He stated that he already made a decision to step away from the director's role and it seems that Warner Bros. (the film's studio producer) supports his decision. Although he clarified that he will find a new partner director to collaborate on the massive film. He assured the fans that he will remain extremely committed to the project. To deliver the best film possible, he is willing to sacrifice in order to give justice to his role as The Batman.
The move has been in the works for several weeks now according to the source of Hollywood Reporter. One of the reasons why Affleck won't be directing the film is focus. He also stated that it would be hard to be the main director of a film in which he is also the main character. Thinking about the scripts as well as bringing it to life will be hard to do at once. Not to mention that a director's role is to lead the whole team all throughout the movie. As of now, Warner Bros. is still committed to bringing "The Batman" movie to life.
Ben Affleck had debuted his superhero role in last year's "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice". The film was great and was generally praised by critics. Aside from this project, he is also involved in continuing his role as the Batman on the upcoming movie based on DC comics, "Justice League", which is said to be premiered later this year. Ben Affleck's most recent movie was "Suicide Squad" which was shown last August 2016.
There is no clear release date for "The Batman" as well as it's synopsis as of now. Rest assured that the producers and writers are doing their best to excellently execute the movie.
