'Rick and Morty' Season 3 Delayed Release Date Due To Complex Storyline, 8-Bit Intro Released For Meantime

"Rick and Morty" Season 3's last season was a success in 2015, making the fans believe that the series will be back in the late 2016 or early 2017. However, there are still no words from the creators of the show, except until recently when Dan Harmon finally addressed the delay of the third season. Also, an 8-bit intro adaptation of the show was recently released.

According to Harmon, the delay of the release of "Rick and Morty" Season 3 is due to the fact that it is taking them longer to write the show. Based on that, it seems that there is really no good reason for the season 3 delay.

"Rick and Morty" Season 3 fans, nevertheless, believe that what matters now is that the creators of the show are likely working on the issue that is causing the delay and that the series will finally return this year. The fans also noted that although Hamon is in higher demand given the rising popularity of the show, the series creator may also be trying to explore new opportunities, Collider reported.

While "Rick and Morty" Season 3 creators are still quiet about the show's release date, a new intro to the famed sci-fi comedy cartoon was reportedly released. This new intro is an 8-bit adaptation of Harmon's adult series by Ivan Dixon and Paul Robertson that went live on the Facebook Page and YouTube account of Adult Swim.

"Rick and Morty" Season 3's new intro, which is called pixel art, has been made outdated by enhanced graphics that render capabilities since the reign of "Pacman." Reports also suggest that Robertson's team used digital software to create sprites, the moveable images seen in the video which later turned into animation in the program Autodesk Animator, according to Polygon.
