‘Scream Queens’ Season 3: Fox is Uncertain on the Renewal
With a continuous fall in the viewer's ratings, fans are really curious to know whether Fox will come forward for the renewal of "Scream Queens" for a third season. However, there is still a ray of hope as the President of Fox, David Madden and Gary Newman, said that they are considering a Season 3 of the comedy horror. But, nothing has been finalized yet.
According to a report published on Variety, Madden and Newman are satisfied with the popularity of "Scream Queens" and how well it connected with the viewers. Though the renewal talks are on, it looks like Fox will take few more months to decide on the next season.
"It's very much still in consideration for a renewal," Madden told Variety and a small group of reporters. "The ratings don't tell the whole story; because it's such a young audience, you can't really even see the full picture even in L+3." The Season 2 ended with everyone kind of doing their own thing, which hinted for a continuation.
Meanwhile, fans are speculating that Murphy's shares a great rapport with Fox which could lead to a renewal. He has already created hit shows like"American Horror Story," "American Crime Story" and the soon to be released anthology "Feud."
A report on Romber pointed out that the red devil's comeback for Chanel Oberlin's blood is a great hope for a season 3. Moreover, with the ring placed in her car, it looks like the killer has a direct link to Chanel or the sorority house in general. There is speculation that this could be the act of Grace, who is back to avenge the death of her father.
Recently, Fox dropped the Season 2 renewal of a couple of dramas due to low ratings. So nothing can be concluded yet until Fox makes an official announcement.
