Classical Singer Josh Groban Joins Kelly Ripa as 'Live' Guest Co-Host Next Week
Classical singer Josh Groban will soon be returning to the Live with Kelly co-host chair for a brief reprise of his guest hosting duties with Live's matriarch, Kelly Ripa.
Groban joins Kelly as co-host on the upcoming Thursday, Sept. 1 episode. He previously guest-hosted with Kelly earlier this summer, as reported by Playbill:
"Groban joined Kelly Ripa as her guest co-host earlier this summer on the June 21 episode. The vocal artist earned his most recent Grammy nomination for his Stages album, featuring tunes from the musical theatre canon, including 'What I Did For Love,' 'Bring Him Home' and 'Children Will Listen.'"
Kelly has been entertaining the nation with a constant rotation of guest co-hosts on her popular Live morning show since the departure of former co-host and Pro Football Hall of Fame honoree Michael Strahan back in May. As widely reported, Strahan jumped ship for a new gig at the Good Morning America show. It is yet to be seen if one of Kelly Ripa's recent guest hosts will assume the mantle as her new, permanent co-host.
Broadway World adds some additional details concerning the Live with Kelly broadcast:
"Live with Kelly is distributed in national syndication by Disney/ABC Home Entertainment and TV Distribution. The show is produced by WABC-TV in New York and executive produced by Michael Gelman. Visit Live on the web at LiveKelly.com, on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (@LiveKelly), and Snapchat (LiveKelly)."
