‘New Girl’ Season 6 Episode 17 Spoilers, News & Updates: Will Jesse Live Up To Her New Career?

“New GIrl” is one of those TV shows which do not support a major plotline, but still manage to find development within their own continuum. In the latest case, the characters find out that they are growing up and they have to either keep up with time or fall back from it.

Spoilers Daily shares the good news about the work life of Jess Day (Zooey Deschanel). She has received a promotion and is now the new principal of the school. One would expect this to be the happiest moment of her life, but things manage to turn around fast. Jess is frightened out of her pants and it has never been as obvious as when she is adding additional sleeves to her so-called "principal blazer". Nick Miller (Jake Johnson) notices Jess’ distress and decides to enlist the help of Schmidt (Max Greenfield) in an attempt to bring her back into rails. It proves quite difficult at first, but then, they discover a fair and everything turns to the better, just before it falls apart again.

Spoilers Guide shares the other half of the story. Winston Bishop (Lamorne Morris) is trying to finalize his divorce with Rhonda (Sonequa Martin-Green), but he and Aly Nelson (Nasim Pedrad) soon realize that it will not be an easy task, as they fall victim to a series of elaborate pranks. Winston and Aly do not remain in debt to Rhonda, as they retaliate with pranks of their own, which leads to a miniature and highly hilarious war between three of grown-ups who have not yet learned how to act as adults.

Rhonda, Aly and Winston are not the only ones faced with time’s toll on their lives. What started as a fun afternoon of relaxation turns into a horror as Jess, Nick, and Schmidt find themselves locked within the fair’s distillery cellar.

TV Overmind reports that then is when things get real crazy. A both frightening and funny flashback to young Nick’s past sends him into shock. On the other hand, Jess completely freaks out about her promotion and Schmidt strongly defends the point that Winston has captured a leprechaun. In the end, the three of them find themselves pressed against the facts and realize that they cannot keep on living like children. They have to take responsibility for their own lives, since they are all in their early thirties and it is finally the time to get a hang of themselves. “New Girl” Season 6 Episode 18 will air on February 28, 2017 on FOX.
