Lin-Manuel Miranda Giving Fans A Glimpse Of His Song From 'Hamilton'
Lin-Manuel Miranda set his fans on fire by sharing rough drafts of Hamilton songs via Twitter on Friday. These demos' gives the fans a glimpse into Miranda's creative process.
Unusually for an artist, Lin-Manuel Miranda is transparent about his creative process, he has known to share unpolished demos of his songs with fans since before his Hamilton phenomenon which a tradition that he's kept up. According to Slate, he released eight "Hamildemos," rough cuts of songs from the musical, performed by Miranda, on Twitter.
"My Shot," and "Satisfied," are demos he had beforehand released, but there's still plenty to appreciate for Hamilton fans among the other six tracks. These songs are "Say No To This" which Miranda acts as both the seductress and the seduced.
Miranda's new demo song "Congratulations" did not make it to the final show. However, it was a debuted song at a #Ham4Ham performance by actress Renée Elise Goldsberry, Your Obedient Servant which he battles himself as both Burr and Hamilton, Right Hand Man, Guns & Ships and The Story for Tonight you can listen to all eight of the tracks on Soundcloud.
According to The Telegraph, Hamilton is a hip-hop musical singer who talks about the life of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and the American revolution. It has sold out its whole run, it even won the Pulitzer Prize for drama, and won 11 out 16 nominations at Tony awards.
Hamilton hires a cast of non-white actors to tell the story of the founding of America in a way that looks very different from conventional history textbooks. The composer and lyricist of Hamilton Lin-Manuel Miranda, is an award-winning composer, lyricist, and performer, as well as a 2015 MacArthur Foundation Award recipient, have fans like former President Obama, Jay-Z, Béyonce, Dick Cheney and Star Wars director JJ Abrams.
